It’s For You: Embracing Your Needs, Wants & Desires

As women juggling various roles—mothers, daughters, partners, and professionals—our own needs, wants, and desires often take a back seat, if they are considered at all. Conditioned to be people-pleasers in pursuit of love, safety, or career advancement, we frequently find ourselves unaware of our own desires and unsure of how to articulate or fulfill them.

Little do we realize that our desires hold profound wisdom, connecting us to our authentic selves.

Opening to our desires connects us to our yearning as sexual and relational beings, our worth in our professional lives, and our fundamental humanity.

This workshop offers a tangible, experiential approach to recognizing, trusting, appreciating, and effectively expressing your needs, wants, and desires. Utilizing tools from Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent, this session is dedicated to you and your self-discovery.

It’s for YOU.

This workshop is influenced and inspired by the Wheel of Consent® as developed by Dr. Betty Martin. I am interested in the Wheel, but I have not studied with Betty or the School of Consent. For more information visit www.schoolofconsent.org.

Third time lucky! 🍀

After being thwarted twice in trying to bring this amazing event to you, we go again - we will prevail 😁

Join Isobel Ripley, Jess Kasriel and Lisa Higgins at 10.30am on Thursday 6th February, to unlock the power of your menstrual cycle and make it work for you – sign up link in bio.

If you can’t make it live and HAVE A QUESTION to ask the panel, then add it to the comments below and you can WATCH THE RECORDING later.

This expert panel will discuss the impact our menstrual cycle can have over our mental, physical and emotional health.

They’ll share their own stories of how they befriended and came to understand their monthly bleed, working with it to unlock their latent power.

This session will set you on a journey that will lead you on an exploration on how you can uncover your path to success in 2025.

This is for you if any of the following statements apply...

🩸 You put your body and/or mind through regular pressure i.e. high intensity exercise, stressful work environment etc.

🩸 You find that your period can sometimes disrupt the way you want to live your life.

🩸 You want to have a better understanding of how you can unlock the power of your period.

🩸 You want to explore non-hormonal forms of contraception.

🩸 You want to set yourself on a positive path for 2025.

🩸 You want to give back to your community with a donation to Bloody Good Period.

Joining link in bio - see you on 6th.

A warm introduction to Alexa Edelist. Alexa is a psychodrama psychotherapist who offers 1-2-1 sessions at Moon, she is also running a free group event on 14th February, visit our bio to find out more.

Psychodrama is a creative way of exploring the roles we embody at any given moment. Whether connected to body, heart, soul, work, parenthood, hopes, dreams or politics, identifying these roles help pinpoint areas of challenge and signpost the way to change and transformation.

I work with individual clients, couples, small family, colleague and friendship groups and prisoners living in a therapeutic community. We use small objects, art and sculpture as well as embodying roles in the inner and outer world to bring about insight and the path to a freer, more spontaneous way of being.

Psychodrama is classified in the UK as a method of psychotherapy only (across the world it is a separate practice in itself) and, as a UKCP-registered practitioner, my style is informed by principles such as attachment (a felt sense of safety in relation to self and other), mentalisation (being able to put yourself in the shoes of other(s), psychoanalysis (the role and significance of the unconscious in how we are in the world) and somatic theory (how trauma and other experiences are held in the body and reshaped by the mind to enable survival).

On 14th February I am offering a free taster space for those curious about love and kindness primarily in connection to the self. Beginning with a short circle of introductions, we will move into some gentle action with participants invited to reflect on where they can plant, nourish or build on the role(s) that invite self-compassion and what this means. All genders and ages are welcome, and places are limited. I look forward to meeting you there.
