Today is [Mother] Earth Day - thinking about the entire Earth and what we can do to ensure our survival on this planet can feel daunting - but here are some local initiatives that can support you to support the Earth.

🌍 @growing_green_london - set up by local Mamas - amongst other things their focus is rewilding our local schools, you can support them by donating or volunteering - they have a second-hand clothes sale fundraiser this Sunday, 27th April - join them.

🌍 @fair_well_london - tackle the plastic pollution crisis by removing plastic packaging from the final stage of the food distribution chain and solving the main problem with plastic-free shopping: inconvenience. They come to you, you just need to book and buy.

🌍 @heath_hands - supporting our beautiful Hampstead Heath, sustaining its biodiversity and protecting it for wildlife and humans to enjoy. You can volunteer with them as well as joining them for their frequent events.

🌍 @chetwyndroadcommunitygarden - a local community of growers, based at the top of Chetwynd Road, join them on 11th May for their open day to find out more.

🌍 @kentishtownlibraryofthings - borrow items, such as drills, carpet cleaners, projectors - you don't have to buy them - sharing the things you won't use often is a simple action all of us can take to live more sustainably - they're based at Kentish Town Library.

🌍 @kentishtownvegbox - all their produce is organic or naturally grown and sourced from small-scale farms as close to London as possible. Use them as a local alternative to the larger scale veg-box schemes.

🌍 @urban_forest_tribe - a local nature based community, focusing on inclusion, and a deeper bond with the natural world. Find out how your little ones can benefit from their offerings.

These are just a few of the local initiatives supporting our environment, support them and use them - helping the Earth starts at home.

A bank holiday weekend welcome to local mama, educator and breathwork practitioner, Kerry Miller.

Kerry and Christel Stanfield-Bruce are creating the space, next Sunday, for us to Breath, Soften and Surrender in a breathwork session - more details in bio.

Over to Kerry 👇

Hi, I’m Kerry - a breathwork practitioner, single mum, and early years educator.

My healing journey began when I became a mother in 2014, and everything I’d been holding onto came to the surface. I could no longer ignore the pain and trauma I had been carrying for years.

Therapy, breathwork, dance, and movement became my way home to myself. Through the breath, I began to access parts of myself I didn’t know how to reach before. I started to feel my grief, my rage, my joy. I began to feel truly alive again.

I trained in the Rebirthing style of breathwork, a modality known for its gentle yet profound approach using conscious connected breathing. This method honors each person’s individual pace, allowing space for deep transformation without force or overwhelm. I’ve found that there is incredible strength in going gently - and I carry that philosophy into every session.

Breathwork became not just a practice, but a path - one that continues to guide me home to myself, again and again.

Now, I hold space for others on their own healing journeys, with deep respect for the courage it takes to turn inward.

I offer 1:1 sessions and group breathes, creating safe, compassionate spaces where people can soften, release, and reconnect with the truth of who they are.

You’ll often find me happiest by the sea with my girls, dancing freely, or around a campfire under the stars.

Happy Easter to everyone celebrating today.

A Spring festival of thanks for the Earth's gift of renewal, co-opted in recent centuries by Christianity with the resurrection of Jesus, the name is derived from Ēostre or Ostara, the Goddess of Spring and the Dawn.

An ancient festival tied to both the Spring Equinox and the Celtic fires of Beltane (our local CofE Church had a bonfire and fireworks last night, a bit pagan if you ask me 😉) to celebrate the renewal of life on Earth.

Have a celebratory day, whatever your beliefs, as you can't deny, we're all Earthlings 😊
