Clinics

My name is Nicole Schubert-Nicolas and I am a homeopath registered with the Society of Homeopaths.

I was born and grew up in Berlin, Germany and have been calling London my home for almost 20 years.

As is so often the case, the path to becoming a homeopath did not lead me in a straight line, but rather in a spiral: After finishing my university education, I enjoyed working on a London trading floor for almost five years, subsequently enjoyed being a full-time mother of 3, then became passionate about nutrition and well-being and co-founded a fermented drinks business with two friends, until completing a Higher Diploma Course in the Art and Science of Homeopathy.

I have not looked back since!

Life with Homoepathy

I discovered homeopathy in my twenties when looking to address the issues underlying my chronic hay-fever. A few years later, homeopathy was a great companion during my pregnancy, especially by manoeuvring me through the realities of working in the demanding environment of a London trading floor.

In my thirties, homeopathy supported me through a (quite literally) painful period of grief after a loss in my family. Homeopathy has taught me to appreciate physical symptoms as subtle clues my body is presenting me with to help me get better. I welcome those signposts now, mindfully and with appreciation.

Maintaining the Balance

Thus, I have also learned to love the secret world of friendly bacteria all around us, which supports us and our immune system in such subtle, but fundamental ways. I believe, we all want to live in harmony with our environment and ourselves.
Nevertheless, we do get stuck sometimes, be it because of a difficult personal situation, our history or heritage, or simply because it can be a struggle to keep up with this modern world we live in. On those occasions, homeopathy has the power to bring us back into balance, so we can regain the flexibility for adapting to our circumstances and be free.

A source of Strength

On a most fundamental level, homeopathy still today is to me a teacher, a friend and a continuous source of strength for my other half and me on our quest to raise 3 happy and healthy children. On this adventure, we have come across many challenges so far: high fevers, slow and painful teethingnight terrors, recurring coughs and coldshay fever and other allergieseczemaverrucasparasitesgrowing pains, head injuriesboils/ulcersanxieties, etc. and I am sure we will continue to learn and be amazed by what teenage and middle age will have in store for us – coming soon!

The latest piece from local artist @jencableart (Hothouse Flower) to beautifully adorn the wall of Moon.

Hothouse flowers' colours may be brilliant and their petals flawless, yet their beauty is fragile—remove them from the tightly controlled environment of the greenhouse, and they wither.

Every aspect of their existence depends on external care. They embody luxury, thriving in isolation from the harsher realities of wind, rain, and change.

In contrast, wild flowers can emerge anywhere, on rocky soil, under shifting skies, and on wind swept plains (much like the Heath at the moment😉).  Their blossoms endure cold snaps, nibbles from local insects, and sudden brushes with curious dogs.  Though their stems may bend and their petals may bear marks of struggle, these are marks of endurance, not weakness.

True vitality doesn’t depend on shelter from difficulty but on balance with the environment, responding flexibly to what life provides.

Where the hot house flower dazzles briefly, natural health endures. One fades with the loss of its careful protection; the other thrives precisely because it has learned to live and bloom in the open air.

So this Easter break, take a moment to step onto the Heath or Waterlow Park and enjoy the daffodils nodding gently in the breeze and the last of the crocuses pushing through.

Take a minute to enjoy the crisp air, flashes of green, new life, and the distant rustle of trees whilst you enjoy a quiet moment of renewal and connection with the season.
